New standard is introduced
The British Standard BS3892 Part 1 will disappear from 1st January 2007. It will be replaced by the European standard EN450-1:2005, which covers the use of PFA in concrete.

However, the finer material required by BS3892 Part 1 will have a new name under the standard - EN450-1:2005 Category S ash.

Jim leaves for Welsh station
Team Leader Jim Donnelly will shortly be leaving our Longannet site to take up a new position. Jim will support former ScotAsh Production Manager Allan Harding in setting up a similar operation to ScotAsh at Aberthaw Power Station in Wales.

Jim will be replaced on site by Jack Anderson who takes up the post of Team Leader in January. Best wishes to both in their new roles
