ScotAsh supplies major projects

ScotAsh products are being used in a host of major infrastructure projects across Scotland, writes Sales Manager Chris Bennett.

Around 100,000 tonnes of ash is being supplied for work on the new Rosyth Bypass - construction is due to start early in the New Year.

ScotAsh is also supplying 20,000 to 30,000 tonnes of grout to underpin some of the major structures along the new, 13 km Kincardine to Alloa rail link.

Further north, ScotAsh has supplied more than 2,500 tonnes of Trojan cement for the construction of a new £ 6.5m pier at Inverie on the Knoydart Peninsula, part of the Small Isles Ferry Scheme. The company is also supplying two more windfarms with Trojan T27 RM cement.

Farr Windfarm, in Invernesshire, is a 45-turbine site being developed by npower Renewables and Paul's Hill, in Moray, a 28-turbine windfarm, is being developed by Fred Olsen Renewables.
