I would like to say a big thank you to our staff, our customers, our associates and our research and development partners for their continued support throughout 2006.
We began the year with the good news of ScottishPower's £170 million investment in Flue Gas Desulphurisation at Longannet Power Station, which will provide us with a secure supply of raw material until at least 2020.
And we've ended the year on a high note too, achieving four years without a Lost Time Accident and being voted Regional Winner in the VIBES Awards, Scotland's premier environmental competition for businesses.
This year we have chosen to
send an e-card instead of
traditional Christmas cards.
The money that would have been spent on cards and postage will be donated to a local charity.
In addition the company has donated portable DVD players as raffle prizes to several local groups, including Culross Primary School, Culross Age Concern and Tulliallan Primary School to support seasonal fund-raising.
On behalf of the management team I extend warm wishes to all of you for a happy Christmas and hope that you enjoy health and prosperity in the New Year.
