ScotAsh Supplies Major Green Energy Projects
ScotAsh is supplying environmentally-friendly products to the first major new hydroelectric project to be built in the UK for nearly 50 years.

Scottish and Southern Energy's Glendoe project consists of a 900-metre dam, an extensive network of tunnels and a 100 MW power station that will be built in an underground cavern 250 metres below ground.
The power station will have a working "head" - the drop between the reservoir and the turbine - of 600 metres, the highest of any hydroelectric project in the UK, enabling it to maximise generation output from every cubic metre of water.
The £140 million project is being built in the Monadliath Mountains at Glendoe, on the banks of Loch Ness, Inverness-shire. The main contractor is Hochtief.
ScotAsh is also supplying Whitelee Windfarm which, at 322 MW, will be the largest onshore windfarm in Europe.
So far, around 500 tonnes of cement have been supplied to the massive site, which is being built by ScottishPower Renewables at Eaglesham Moor near Glasgow.
Andrew Jamieson, Business Development Director with ScottishPower Renewables, said: "We take the development of our projects seriously, particularly the sustainability of the products we use.
"By using ScotAsh products we are able to offset our carbon footprint from the very first day our windfarms become operational."
