Cement ship sets sail for Islay harbour
ScotAsh will be supplying products to numerous projects over the summer months, writes Sales & Business Development Manager Chris Bennett.
These include the £6.3 million harbour redevelopment at Port Askaig on Islay, where we are supplying cement by ship, and three further Scottish windfarms.
Work at Edinbane windfarm on the Isle of Skye has now resumed after the Black Grouse nesting season and Trojan cement is also being supplied to two RDC, Falck Renewables projects - Millennium, a 40 MW windfarm at Invergarry in Highland region, and Kilbraur, a 47.5 MW development at Brora in Sutherland.
We are also supplying fill material for embankments at the new Upper Forth crossing, supplying grout to the oil industry in the Middle East, sending products to a precast company in Ireland and supplying environmental stabilisers for a new Tesco distribution centre in Bathgate.
