Milestone for Safety
ScotAsh reached a major safety milestone at the end of November, achieving FIVE YEARS without a Lost Time Accident (LTA) - despite a period of record production.
Managing Director Peter Quinn paid tribute to the team.
Fine figure : Members of the ScotAsh team form a figure 'five' to celebrate their big safety achievement
He said: "My thanks go to everyone on site for their efforts in achieving such a major milestone. Safety is our first priority and that will continue to be the case."
He added: "We have done really well but can't afford to be complacent.
"We will continue to recognise and reward good ideas from the team that highlight safety issues and improve performance."
As in past years, ScotAsh will mark their impressive safety achievement by making a donation to charity.
Employees are being invited to put forward suggestions and the recipient will be announced early in the New Year.
