A £200,000 investment in a new palletiser is enabling the packing team to speed up the shipping of bagged products.

Production Manager Mark Stephen said: "The old palletiser - which picks up bags and stacks them in a pre-set configuration on pallets - had already done tours of duty at various plants and required ever more frequent maintenance.
"The new machine can be reprogrammed for different products in minutes, rather than hours - and, with potential future investment in additional spouts, would be capable of preparing up to 1,800 bags an hour for shipping, doubling our output."
