The performance, by acclaimed Welsh production company Opera Box, was brought to life in the gardens of the historic Abbey House, home of Lord Bruce, on Saturday 2nd August.

Several hundred people attended the event, with many picnicking in the grounds before the performance.

ScotAsh's guests enjoyed lunch before the performance and a buffet supper afterwards in the company's marquee.

Weather on the day was mixed - the first half of the performance took place in sunshine, but a sudden cloudburst during the second half meant the performers had to don voluminous capes over their costumes to protect them from the rain.
