ScotAsh go Dutch!

ScotAsh made its first shipment to Holland in August. A consignment of superfine strengthener Superpozz SV8O was delivered to Dutch company Megatrax Benelux BV to be trialled in various products.

We also shipped a consignment of our specialist oil industry cement to Singapore for Tuboscope, over the summer.

The material will be used in oil pipelines, between the steel pipe and its fibre plastic lining.

Closer to home, ScotAsh grout is being used in a £1.2million contract by CE Coopers, to repair a Victorian low-level sewer in Leeds, for Yorkshire Water, whose main contractor is Earthtech Morrison.

The sewer, which had suffered a major collapse in 2007, required liners to be fitted to a 450-metre section, the creation of headwalls and the pumping in of 12 Nm2 of ScotAsh grout.

The project follows a recent tunnel grouting project for United Utilities at Barrow- in- Furness.

ScotAsh will also be supplying grout to the M74 extension, on which work is due to start imminently.
