Supplying 10 years of landmark projects
We have supplied products to a multitude of interesting projects over the years.
These have included infrastructure projects, such as the Kincardine Bypass, the Clackmannanshire Bridge, the Stirling-Alloa-Kincardine rail link, the awardwinning Lairige Eilde Bridge at Glencoe and, more recently, the M74 extension.
Recycled roads projects we have supplied include refurbishment of the Royal Mile in Edinburgh and repairs to the historic carriage drive at Finsbury Park in London, using in-situ stabilisation of the road excavation planings.
We have supplied many renewable energy projects, including the Glendoe and Kingairloch hydro-electric projects and numerous windfarms, including Whitelee, Black Law, Crystal Rig, Causey Mire, Edinbane, Millennium, Deucheran Hill, Bowbeat Hill and Cruach Mhor.
Marine projects we have supplied include offshore oil and gas platforms, harbours at Jersey, Islay and Inverie, the Fraserburgh ship lift and, recently, a new pier at Raasay in the Inner Hebrides, where the concrete is being placed underwater by a dive team.
We will shortly begin supplying products for a major upgrade at Rosyth Docks to prepare the facility for building two new aircraft carriers.
We have also supplied numerous tunnels and water treatment works, including remediation of a collapsed Victorian sewer in Leeds.
Remediation and stabilisation projects have included underpinning the Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh, stabilising sludges and re-using the stabilised material to build a towpath at Bowling and groundworks for the National Indoor Sports Arena and Chris Hoy Velodrome for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
We continue to export specialist products, shipping cenospheres to the Czech Republic and our specialist oil industry cement to Singapore, to be used in oil pipelines. A consignment of superfine strengthener Superpozz SV80 and other products have been trialled by Dutch company Megatrax Benelux BV - who like ScotAsh specialise in sustainable solutions.
