PFA in Concrete and Cement

PFA is a Pozzolana - it reacts with the lime released from hydrating Portland cement to produce cementitious hydrates The use of PFA increases the strength and durability of concrete with time, making PFA-based products the first choice for major infrastructure projects that must stand the test of time.

Cement and concrete containing PFA are also resistant to attack from sulfates and chloride ingress. In addition, less water is required to achieve workability, which reduces permeability and achieves a lower heat of hydration.
